I would recommend this book for those who have some notions of aromatherapy and would like to learn more.I am a massage therapist and I did a training in aromatherapy for massage only and then got interested in aromatology.This book clearly shows that this author is experienced and she knows what she is talking about. I learned more about aromatology(clinical aromatherapy) thanks to this book. Read it twice and I use it as a reference on a regular basis. Would like have more recipes maybe for the internal mode of application, but still a good book.There are also some clinical examples. Real author, happy I found one, as aromatherapy secton is spammed by low-quality material. I am happy this book is written by a professional author and aromatologist. Good job Maureen, I will be recommending your book!
Except for listing some oils, and one to two words categorizing the use, and not much else, that's what you get. You definitely get what you pay for. Could have easily gotten the info off an internet search, or you tube. Don't waste your money.
I have used essential oils to make soap and scents, but this info was more healing related. I gained knowledge I didn't have about essential oils and how to use them for common ailments. They work, and they don't create new problems when used properly.
I would have liked more recipes to make for any symptoms. Also more variety of essential oils in the book. The dilution part of the book was good. It needed more information on how to use each oil for whatever symptom., and where to apply each one, and how to apply it for each symptom.
This is a good book for the beginner. A suggestion for the basic oils are given and some uses. It has good safety tips and other information lacking on some of the other essential oil books.
I did not read this yet ... but Essential oils are my life!!
I have been slowly making my own products. This booklet has been very informative allowing me to understand the natural formulas. A nice easy to understand book on to topic.
Very helpful. Showed me how to mix my oils best!
