Open Your Heart is a book that will have you hooked right from the very first page of this new series by Sophia Henry.You will meet Austin a man looking for that big break with his band Drowned World and who also is a hopeless romantic when it comes to finding that right woman, little does he know that one rainy night saving a woman on the side of the road might just be that woman.Elizabeth Commons is an aspiring surgeon, born into a rich family doing always what she feels is the right thing to do but when a rainy night changes the course of her life she needs to come to terms with it all but when a night out with her sisters to raise her spirits might just be the beginning of a new life.The moment they connect Elizabeth & Austin’s chemistry is off the charts, they come from two different worlds but they can’t help feel the pull that continues to bring them closer together. They will go through so many emotional ups and downs and reasons that they shouldn’t be together but the heart wants what the heart wants and you will see where that statement comes from can’t be further from the truth.

Open Your Heart is such a beautiful story! Austin meets Liz on a stormy night in Atlanta, unfortunately Liz isn’t really conscious for the whole thing. Later on the two finally meet again and they both feel as though there is a connection there. I loved getting to see the way Austin and Liz’s story flows. The struggles that Liz has growing up with parents that see Classism. The way the Austin is there to support her in her new adventures and showing Liz that what her parents want doesn’t have to be what she wants.The story is well written, emotional, funny but so full of love!

Wow, rich girl, not so rich boy, meet, in an oh so unusual way. What a unique connection Austin and Liv feel, not quite understanding it. There is so much emotion, connection, fire, intense conversations, busy schedules, the two will have one wild, fun journey.❤️Enjoy, I certainly loved it.

Austin was a great character --- sweet, consideŕate, sexy, a rocker, and intelligent. Liz was needy but intelligent. Not a terribly realistic plot, but it kept me reading. Well written.

3.5 STARS!!!Open Your Heart was a good romance read. Elizabeth (Liz) comes from a very rich and prestigious family and Austin is the man from the wrong side of the tracks following his dream to be a Rockstar. Austin and Liz have a connection that's undeniable and their relationship is one they know will be hard but they can't deny the attraction they feel. I enjoyed the two of them together, although there were times I wanted to shake Liz and tell her to stop acting so childish. Their story was a sweet one with not too much drama but I wish there was more angst. I absolutely loved Austin and his mom. I also enjoyed Liz and her sisters Emily (EmVee) and Madeline (Maddie). There were parts I really enjoyed about the story and parts that were okay. I wish that the flow was a little faster in certain parts of the story but overall this was a good read. This story ends with a cliffhanger leaving readers wanting to know what happened with Maddie and Trent.

He is rockin’ roll, but not really a bad boy. She has family wealth, but isn’t a snobby socialite. Her world is falling apart and by chance fate throws them in each other’s path a second time. His hard work is finally starting to pay off and her’s is falling through her fingers making her feel like she might drowned. Can he help keep her afloat while guiding her to another path or will their families cause another Romeo and Juliet?

Liz is an aspiring surgeon when a bad car accident changes the course of her life and ends her career. Austin comes to her aid anonymously, and he has an up and coming musical career, and is looking for the big break for his band. Six months later Liz’s sister takes her out to see a band, and she meets Austin for the first time. The chemistry between them is intense. This is a well written story. Which had me hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more of this talented authors’ work!

About the Author

Daniel B. Kohlhepp is the president of Granite Road LLC. He is a former senior lecturer and academic program director of the Master of Science in Real Estate and Infrastructure Program at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He began his career in real estate as a college professor at the University of Oklahoma and Penn State University and then spent 30 years as a real estate investor and developer before returning to academia. In 2007 the Homer Hoyt Institute recognized Kohlhepp as a Hoyt Fellow, and in 2012, he was elected to the board of directors of the Homer Hoyt Institute. He is an equity principal of the Real Estate Counselors Group of America, and he is also a member of the Appraisal institute and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Sustainable Real Estate. Kohlhepp holds a PhD in Real Estate and Urban Planning Analysis from The Ohio State University and an MBA and BS degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Kimberly J. Kohlhepp, MSREI, LEED AP BD+C is currently the Associate Director of Development for Kimco Realty's Mid-Atlantic Region in Baltimore, MD. Before joining Kimco, she was a principal at Nestwood, LLC, a consulting firm focused on producing financial proformas, market research, and educational courses for real estate development teams and organizations. Kimberly has also worked with Brookfield Office Properties and Federal Realty Investment Trust in both property management and asset management roles. Love this writer and have many of her books. I love her writing. Her books are very good for self help in bettering ones spirit. Love her writing.

I won't be reading this book until 2009. It is part of the United Methodist Women Reading Program for 2009.You forced me to review it way too early and to give it a minimal rating!!!

I had to read this in high school in my theatre class. After my senior year I donated it to the school. I didn't realize I would still need this as an reference after high school so I bought it again.

I read this to get a better understanding of Meisners technique and hope to learn something new. It wasn't my style at all.Though there are some gems here I took to heart about preparing, listening and emotion.This is not a very encouraging book and he seemed very arrogant.Overall a discouraging read.

I read the entire book. Meisner is funny as hell. He is real and is not afraid of being transparent with the students he taught. My favorite lessons was using the imaginary "as if" which helps a whole lot and the repetition exercise which gets you out of your head and into "living under imaginary circumstances". It gets you to react to the other person which is vital if you want to make a scene in a movie or play seem legit. If you read this book, and you should, use a high-lighter and take some notes. Loved it!

Sanford Meisner is one of the greats in the acting field. He shows his ability to teach and inspire. This book is also very well-written and understandable, even to the novice actor. Thank you Sanford, for thinking about your fellow actors enough to help them along their way.

This is a thorough book and essential for anyone who wants to study the craft of acting. I recommend it as well as other classic texts. It is important to remember that most techniques are aiming towards the same goal...truth in acting. Actors should try many techniques until things click.

If Meisner were teaching today, his bullying tactics and cult-like persona would put him out of business. Nobody would put up with that crap. I remember liking aspects of the Meisner technique, so I'm re-reading this book. He's so horrible to his students, it's painful to read. Today, this book reads more like a biography of an megalomaniacal ogre than an acting primer.

My daughter used it in h.s. to work on her acting technique. She still uses it as a valuable reference material in college.
