As a lifelong coin enthusiast, I finally decided I ought to delve into coin folders of my own. I had tried the Whitman folders, but I didn't really like them and had, as other reviewers suggested, tried Harris folders. It's easiest to describe the experience I've had with them via a lost of pros and cons:Pros:-Looks quite professional, and I'm a fan of the cover-Spots for pennies from both Denver and Philadelphia mints-Includes spaces for all seven 1982 pennies (the year they released both copper and zinc pennies), and eight spaces for the four coins released in 2009 (D and P)Cons:-Can be a bit hard to get coins into the slots, and can hurt fingers to do so-Pressing too hard on them will make the folder crack.All in all, I am satisfied, but I do wish it was made of a heavier material that held up better to the wear and tear folders of this nature will experience.

i found it hard to put the coins inside this album!this album there is a total of three flaps that you open.the packaging was very basic it came with a cardboard folder very simple and basic.I would recommend if you are planning the leave the coins inside but beware it is very difficult to put inside!

I have a metal detector and use these folders as a way of storing my finds. It's relatively easy to complete a collection from coins you receive in change. A little harder to find them several inches deep in the ground.This is an excellent way to get kids started in coin collecting. Unlike the folders from when I was a kid, these folders do not require you to purchase proof "s" mint coins in order to complete the collection.Highly recommended.

Pros:Coins for this collection are very widely available making it the perfect starter kit for kids or casual collecting.Fairly recent end date if you're not too concerned about having to label each new issue.Cons:Some pennies required substantial effort that the entire page bent in order to fully insert the coin. Wasn't too much of a concern for the duller older coins but the pressure from my fingertips could stain the newer ones a bit early.If you're up for a little challenge, you can look up the differences between the varieties of 1982 copper and zinc pennies (they have every variety, apparently) so you can be sure you're adding each kind even if they look the same.

the three folders cover 1909-1940, 1941-74, 1975-2013, was great. What made this perfect was that the Lincoln cent folder #4 made it where his grand kids when putting the pennies in the slots they can go for a few more years, so thanks from me and my friend. cliff

Since both folders cover similar collections and both are published by Whitman Books, one question naturally arises, are there any significant reasons to favor one folder over the other? The answer is yes, and I believe that the differences favor the Harris folders.The standard Whitman folders have exteriors made of paper and the back of these exterior paper covers also provide the back for the coins inserted in the interior. On the-other-hand the front covers of this folder as well as the inside back covering for the coin slots of the H. E. Harris & Co. "Lincoln Cents Starting 1975" folder is heavily plasticized. This folder has three pages, each page providing 30 coin slots. There is a total of eighty-two designated (identified) slots, in my folder purchased in 2010, that have printed slot descriptions from "Memorial Reverse" and 1975 through 2009-D with slots for all eight versions of the 2009 cent. Eight additional slots are also provided but not designated.Perhaps because of its plasticized covers the Harris folders are slightly thicker. In one case, with a standard Whitman blue folder I inadvertently placed too much pressure in removing a coin from the folder and the paper punctured. This would appear much more unlikely in the case of the plasticized exterior of a Harris folder. Additionally, the plasticized finish means that the exterior of these folders are much easier to keep clean. The Harris folders also have a light-toned interior background compared to the medium-blue background of the Whitman books. This makes the printed coin information easier to read in a Harris folder.Conclusion. The plasticized finish of the Harris folders makes them sturdier, and easier to clean. Their lighter background makes the printing easier to read. Their slightly thicker size and larger spine printing makes them easier to distinguish on a shelf.

My son who is 4 years old loves to look at his Dads coin collection so I bought this thinking he would like it. He loves It! Folds up so u can stack in on the bookshelf and not take up a ton of room. Easy to interest pennies into proper spot. If a 4 year old can do it anyone can! Nice product

Nice for what it is. Seems to hold up well and is easy to use. The coins can be inserted easily and hold well if push in firmly. Maybe even a step above others that I may have seen. I would definitely recommend this product for beginners and intermediate users alike.

Could not believe how helpful this book has been for me in my role as a leader in my religious fellowship, and in my life as a woman of spirit. Which, ideally, are the same thing. So very grateful for this wisdom. Plus, he's really funny!

This little collection of articles offers fascinating insight into Jewish traditions, together with sprinklings of Rabbi Kuschner's wit. I recommend it highly.

Well written in a style making the subject matter easy to understand. I highly recommend this book if you have any desire to understand how the Jewish mind and heart operates and responds to organized religion.

Great thought provoking text. This book forces one to look at the greater picture and what is really important in life.

It's an interesting and sometimes amusing read. Good practical advice for those involved in anyway with organized religion.

This rabbi is a master of our generation, and this book is a funny and compelling collection of his sermons. I highly recommend it.

Rabbi Lawrence Kushner, a reform rabbi and author of more than a dozen and a half informative easy to read books, has collected close to fifty short, frequently very humorous observations written during his more than several decades of service as a concerned rabbi. Rabbi Kushner includes serious messages within the humor. He divides his observations into six sections: rabbi, Judaism, family, world, mysticism, and holiness. In the first section, for example, he discusses his view of the responsibilities of a rabbi. Readers will find him making statements such as: "Rabbis should treat Jews more like rabbis. Jews should treat rabbis more like Jews." "The more you rehearse anything, the more deadly it becomes. Besides, people make just as many gaffes anyway." In his Judaism section, Kushner speaks about conversion. "I converted a man (who was already married to a Jew) whose last name was Fitzpatrick. `But Rabbi,' he said, "Fitzpatrick isn't a Jewish name." I said, "It will be." In regard to another man who was married to a Jewish woman, he asked if the man wanted to convert. He responded, "Yes." The rabbi asked him why he hadn't done it before. He answered, "Nobody asked me to do it." One of the most hilarious chapters is in this section. He speaks about taking names at random from the white pages of the phone book, and sending these non-Jews a letter. It begins: Shalom!We the board of directors of the Congregation Emanu-El at our last meeting unanimously selected you (and your entire nuclear family) to become Jews-by-surprise.No matter how ridiculous you consider this decision, there are already tens of thousands of born Jews who know and do less than you do. Even if you are an avowed anti-Semite, relax, there are already many Jews like you, too....The letter goes on to describe the responsibilities of these new Jews. It contains humor as well as sharp criticisms of Jews. Kushner finishes his book with reflections on Thornton Wilder's great play Our Town. He recalls how one of the characters has died and asks if it is possible to go back in time and see oneself. She is told that it is possible, but not to do so, because it is too painful. She rejects the advice and goes back to view her twelfth birthday. She sees how her family is ignoring the possibilities of life and not really enjoying life. Her family is not living as if they will die someday. Kushner advises us not to live this way. This is his message after being a rabbi for so long, after seeing so much, after hearing so many tales of wasted lives lived wrong.
